Ron Gilbert’s Scurvy Scallywags gets trailer, screens

Scurvy Scallywags, the upcoming game from Ron Gilbert and DeathSpank co-creator Clayton Kauzlaric, is a little different from most match-three puzzlers. As we learned in March, players can influence the direction in which the board collapses after making a match. This, in turn, can move their character around the board and allow them to engage in combat with other characters.

The concept is a bit difficult to put down on paper, so thankfully there’s a new trailer! Take note of the end of the video, as we’re fairly certain this is the first sea shanty in history to feature a theremin.

Motorcycle Mayhem Detailed In Latest Ride To Hell: Route 666 Trailer

The only thing better than riding a motorcycle is doing it while fending off a rival gang of bikers, or at least that's what Deep Silver and Black Forest Games would have us believe. In the latest trailer for Ride to Hell: Route 666, we get a look at some of the features that make the game unique.

In Ride to Hell: Route 666, you'll command your own MC, manage upgrades, and decide who will come out on the road with you. From there, it's a matter of wreaking havoc against typically challenging odds.

Ride to Hell: Route 666 is coming this summer to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Batman: Arkham Origins teases us with a new trailer

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive has released a teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins. It gives us a brief look into a battle between Batman and Deathstroke. A full-length trailer is expected on May 20th.

Unfortunately, as is expected with a teaser, there is no gameplay footage in the 40 second trailer. Hopefully the trailer that is released on the 20th will give us some gameplay footage so we can see how it differs aesthetically from the rest of the Arkham series. For those who didn’t know, Arkham Origins isn’t being developed by Rocksteady Studios, but instead by Warner Bros. own WB Games Montreal.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC starting October 25, 2013.

Fuse ignites launch trailer, new screens

“Shit gets really weird” in Fuse. Not our words, but those of Overstrike 9′s Dalton Brooks. Still, would be a great tagline for Fuse, or any game for that matter. Oh well, Insomniac’s Fuse will have to make do without when it launches on May 28 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Sony’s Panopticon countdown ends with mysterious trailer

The PlayStation Japan website just unveiled a trailer for what’s apparently a new Japan Studio game, possibly called Panopticon going by the page name. The unveiling followed a week-long countdown, which was more like a count-up since the timer eventually ticked up to “1,000,000 years.” It did just that at 6AM ET, with this trailer in its stead.

The trailer depicts a futuristic, totalitarian world where citizens are identified by virtually visualized ID numbers. There’s no indication of any platforms or release date.

Earlier this year, it was spotted SCE Europe trademarked Panopticon. The word traces it roots to the Greek language, and means to “include everything visible in one view.”
