Goat Simulator Waste Of Space DLC Coming To PS4 Tomorrow

Goat Simulator – love it or hate it – is one of the quirkiest goat simulation games on the market today. The expansion, Waste of Space, came out on PC, Linux, and Mac in May of last year, but the add-on is finally making the jump to PlayStation 4.

The DLC is a parody of all things space, from Star Wars to Star Trek and everything in between. A recent PlayStation Blog post references romance options, so it may or may not be a coincidence that the PS4 release of this add-on coincides with the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Check out the trailer for this endearingly absurd expansion to the Goat Simulator universe:

Goat Simulator: Waste of Space comes out on PlayStation 4 tomorrow, March 21. It is unclear if and when the DLC will be coming to other consoles; Goat Simulator is also available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, as well as iOS and Android. Red our original review here.

Farming Simulator 17 Getting Mod Support On Console

The Farming Simulator community has kept the series alive on PC with a crop of mods, but the console versions haven't supported user-created content. That's changing with Farming Simulator 17, which is bringing mods to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Mods will have to pass through a curation process from the developers before they're published on console, but once approved players will be able to add new animals, environments, game mechanics, and more – and at no additional cost.

Giants Software says the goal is to have them available for download starting October 25, when the game launches.

Goat Simulator Designer Teams Up With PewDiePie To Develop Games

Felix Kjellberg, AKA popular YouTube personality PewDiePie, revealed that he's teamed up with Goat Simulator Designer Armin Ibrisagic to release a mobile game called PewDiePie’s Tuber Simulator. The game is exactly what it sounds like: you play an aspiring YouTuber trying to rise up in popularity. It looks colorful and comic and is available on both iOS and Android platforms.

In an interview with Variety, Ibrisagic offered some insight into the partnership, saying "“Comedy is huge in entertainment but it still feels in its infancy in the games industry — Felix and I would like to work on changing that.”

The two plan to develop and release more games in the future under the name DoubleMoose.

Our Take
Love him or hate him, it's hard not to be impressed with Kjellberg's influence and how he wields it. We're curious to see what sort of humor games emerge from DoubleMoose.

Sunless Sea Lead Writer Announces ‘Cultist Simulator’

Alexis Kennedy, the lead writer and creative director of Sunless Sea,
announced on his blog today that he's working on new game called
Cultist Simulator.

Kennedy, who has also worked as a writer, coder, and creative
director on games including Fallen London, Dragon Age: The Last Court,
and Stellaris, said Cultist Simulator will be a "digital board game of
mystery, experimentation, and self-destruction."

The single-player game is set to feature what Kennedy calls "parallel
victory conditions" for "sane" and "insane" paths, crafting mechanics,
and the ability to "indoctrinate innocents." However, there will also be the option to try to resist the cultish path and succeed in romance or a career. "But why would you do that?" Kennedy writes.

"I spent my first month out of Failbetter building an alpha
Javascript
prototype of an experimental game, Cultist Simulator, to test out some
mechanics and lore," Kennedy wrote in the announcement post. After
getting feedback from playtesters, he said he decided to move forward
with the project, which will tentatively launch for PC and tablets
sometime around Halloween next year.

In the meantime, check out Editor Daniel Tack's review of Sunless Sea.
